The Commercial and Business Litigation team is expanding and seeking an experienced Defense Attorney to join a growing team handling sophisticated high‑exposure business disputes alongside some of California's top trial attorneys. This role is ideal for a seasoned commercial litigator who values trial‑focused work direct case responsibility and long‑term professional stability within a supportive firm environment. Responsibilities Represent businesses corporations and individuals in complex commercial litigation matters including business and commercial disputes real estate litigation breach of contract trade secrets intellectual property disputes and securities litigation with accuracy and efficiency Manage cases from inception through trial including strategy development discovery depositions motions mediations and courtroom appearances while preparing and arguing dispositive motions Take and defend depositions across a diverse and sophisticated commercial litigation caseload while independently managing active matters and meeting deadlines in a trial‑focused environment Collaborate with senior trial attorneys on high‑profile complex matters while maintaining significant independent responsibility over assigned cases and delivering exceptional client‑focused legal representation Qualifications JD from an accredited law school with active California Bar membership in good standing 5+ years of commercial and business litigation experience with a strong defense‑side background and demonstrated experience handling complex commercial disputes through all phases of litigation Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced high‑volume environment Outstanding legal research writing and oral advocacy skills with trial experience or meaningful first‑chair and second‑chair trial exposure highly preferred and the ability to independently manage an active litigation caseload Join Us This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial litigator seeking sophisticated high‑exposure trial work, mentorship and long‑term stability.
