Overview

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Special Waste Industrial Sales team member. This role is pivotal in achieving maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within our markets by effectively promoting and selling our company's environmental goals including management of hazardous waste, non-hazardous waste, sustainable reclamation options, and recyclable options.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acquire new revenue growth with cold calls, responding to on-line inquiries, and site visits with new prospects seeking permanent industrial environmental customers
• Quickly and effectively respond to inbound calls/inquiries to close high percentage of business. Customer service is key to our success and timeliness of customer responses is our hallmark
• Complete all required paperwork and other miscellaneous reports for coordination with transportation/waste profiler
• Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the company's available services, lines of business, pricing structures, and offers additional services as appropriate to new and existing customers
• Focuses sales activities on value-added services, compliance initiatives, and other revenue generating activities while managing waste disposal/compliance.
• Responsible for achieving and/or exceeding monthly growth quota
• This position involves travel, including overnight stays, while managing projects

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (BS), Environmental Science or 4 years’ experience in Sales in related field
• Must have experience with customer relations and support as well as exhibit leadership abilities
• Demonstrates general knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and contract management software
• Demonstrates the desire and ability to learn company sales/customer database software in addition to learning the features of all company services and products and different levels of account options

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to generate and manage leads, opportunities, and contract negotiations leading to profit
• Knowledge/prior experience with environmental regulations that allow for developing and executing sales strategies for onsite resolutions
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Knowledge/prior experience with RCRA waste. Working knowledge of TCEQ, EPA, and RRC regulations and guidance for managing waste.
• Self-starter capable of working effectively in a team environment or as an individual contributor
• Excellent analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend reports and associated documents
• Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets as well as analytical report results for waste characterization
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet time sensitive deadlines
• Work with cross-functional team members including transportation, billing, collections, sales, and customer experience departments to assist in providing satisfactory solutions from the customer perspective in order to retain business, and leverage communication from other departments to identify sales opportunities
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced, time sensitive arena with profitable results
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operation, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
• Ability to follow all company safety policies and procedures

License/Certification (preferred):

• Driver's License
• RCRA
• DOT Training

Compensation Package:
