Discover a unique opportunity to support high school students as a School Psychologist in a dynamic educational setting near Charleston. Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid South Carolina School Psychologist license required
- Previous experience working with high school students is highly valued
- Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to develop effective intervention plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations, interpreting assessment data to support student development
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in cooperation with teachers and families
- Provide direct counseling services to students facing academic, social, or behavioral challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, offering expert guidance on student needs and recommended interventions
- Support crisis intervention efforts and deliver staff training as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Engage with families to enhance understanding and involvement in supporting student growth
This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) begins as soon as possible and will continue through early June 2027. Serving a high school caseload, you’ll help shape positive outcomes for young people and gain enriching experience in a diverse district close to the vibrant Charleston area.
