Make a difference in the lives of high school students by providing critical psychological services within a supportive educational environment. This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated School Psychologist to serve in a high school setting near Charleston, contributing to student success and working alongside committed staff.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments and interpret testing results for students.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective interventions and support plans.
- Participate in the creation and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation services as needed.
- Engage in multi-disciplinary teams, contributing expertise in behavior management, social-emotional learning, and academic supports.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina School Psychologist License.
- Experience working with high school populations is highly preferred.
- Strong assessment, report-writing, and consultation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and families.
- Familiarity with current best practices in school psychological services.
- Commitment to ethical practices and continued professional growth.
This is a full-time, contract position with a 37.5-hour work week, offering a steady schedule while supporting students until the end of the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll work in a vibrant high school environment near Charleston, engaging with students to foster positive outcomes and collaborate with a dedicated educational team.
