Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a local client seeking an experienced Receiving & Warehouse Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with receiving, forklifts, and warehouse operations. The position also requires the ability to safely drive trucks and trailers to transport parts and materials between company warehouses and locations.

Position Overview

The Receiving & Warehouse Specialist is responsible for accurately receiving parts and supplies from vendors, field operations, and customers. This position will unload and inspect incoming shipments, verify part and serial numbers, enter inventory information into the operating system, and stage materials for the appropriate department.

The position will also operate forklifts and, when needed, drive company trucks and trailers to transport parts and supplies between warehouses and locations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Receive serviceable and repairable inventory accurately and efficiently.
• Unload trucks and trailers by hand or using a forklift.
• Drive company trucks and trailers as needed to transport parts, supplies, and materials between warehouses and locations.
• Safely load, unload, and secure materials being transported.
• Maintain accurate package counts throughout the day and week.
• Sort and prioritize incoming packages according to SOPs and work instructions.
• Open packages and verify part numbers, serial numbers, quantities, and condition.
• Accurately receive and enter products into the company operating system.
• Manage the P.O. hold shelf and maintain the associated list.
• Pick and stage parts and supplies for other departments.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Properly preserve and handle parts as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy work area.
• Perform routine vehicle and equipment inspections and report any issues.
• Follow all company safety, quality, warehouse, and driving procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift experience required.
• Experience driving trucks and trailers required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate and maneuver trucks and trailers.
• Experience loading, unloading, and securing materials.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse and transportation processes.
• Knowledge of Windows-based operating systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong data entry, basic math, counting, and recordkeeping skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, SOPs, and work procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, kneel, and lift as needed.
• Ability to work on hard surfaces and uneven terrain.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to safely enter and exit trucks and trailers.
• Flexibility to work overtime and/or weekends with minimal notice when business needs require.
