Quality Inspector

Quality InspectorThe Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting plastic injection molded components, and precision machined parts at various stages of production, including receiving, in-process, first article, and final, to ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This role operates under AS9100D and AS9102 guidelines, using precision measurement tools and collaborating closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to maintain the highest quality standards.Job Location Yorba Linda, CA Mon-Fri 6:30am-3:00pm $20-$25 DOEKey Responsibilities:Perform receiving inspections on raw materials, components, and vendor supplied parts, verifying certifications, dimensions, and compliance with purchase ordersConduct in-process, first article, and final inspections for molded and machined parts using precision toolsInterpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to ensure compliancePerform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirementsMaintain lot traceability and review material certification for aerospace complianceDocumentation & ReportingAccurately document inspection results and maintain organized quality recordsGenerate Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) when requiredComply with AS9100 document control processesCollaboration & Problem-SolvingSupport root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions with cross-functional teamsCollaborating with production, engineering, and quality departments to resolve quality issuesTools & EquipmentUtilize calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges, optical comparators, CMMs, and other precision toolsQualifications:High school diploma or GEDMinimum 2 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing; aerospace, plastics injection molding, or machining preferredStrong understanding of AS9100D and As9102 standardsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&TProficient with precision measuring equipment and Microsoft OfficeStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentationPreferred:Experience with CMM programming/operationsKnowledge of aerospace material specifications and special processesTraining in root cause analysis and continuous improvementPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periodsLift up to 25lbs occasionallyVisual acuity to detect fine details during inspectionsPersonal Attributes:High attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsTeam-oriented with good communication abilitiesCommitment to quality and continuous improvementCompany OverviewPrecise Aerospace Manufacturing Inc.
