Administrative Assistant / Data Analyst

Location: Phoenix, AZ Hybrid

Work Arrangement: Hybrid; primarily work from home after training, typically after the first week

The Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant / Data Analyst to support the Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) survey. The resource will conduct outreach to HR and payroll professionals, collect employment and wage information, perform accurate data entry, and classify employer job titles using standardized government occupational classifications.

• Contact HR and payroll departments by phone and email to collect employment and wage data.
• Conduct outbound calls and explain the purpose and value of the OEWS survey.
• Identify appropriate company contacts and build professional working relationships.
• Explain privacy, confidentiality, and data protection requirements to participating organizations.
• Review employer job titles and wage information for accuracy and completeness.
• Map company-specific job titles to the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) framework.
• Enter detailed employment, position, and wage information accurately into designated systems.
• Review and verify entered data to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Draft and send individual outreach emails to businesses and organizations.
• Assist with program-driven bulk email campaigns targeting multiple organizations.
• Maintain accurate contact information and outreach records.
• Follow established procedures for data collection, classification, documentation, and reporting.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail when handling sensitive employment and wage information.
• Communicate professionally with internal teams, HR representatives, payroll professionals, and other stakeholders.
• Required: Minimum 1 year of call center and administrative experience .
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence in telephone outreach.
• Basic familiarity with email campaign, bulk email, or automated outreach tools is preferred.
• Ability to understand and explain data privacy standards and classification frameworks.
• Previous experience working with state agencies is preferred.
