Tax Associate

LHH is seeking a Tax Associate to join one of their clients in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-Corporations, and C-Corporations Assist with tax planning projects and identify opportunities for tax savings and compliance improvements Conduct tax research and analyze complex tax issues Prepare supporting workpapers and maintain accurate tax documentation Respond to client inquiries and communicate tax-related matters in a professional manner Assist with tax notices, audits, and regulatory correspondence Reconcile tax-related accounts and financial information as needed Collaborate with senior tax professionals to ensure timely and accurate client deliverables Stay current on federal, state, and local tax regulations and developments Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business required 1-3+ years of tax preparation experience, preferably within a CPA or public accounting firm; willing to consider candidates with 2 busy season internships Experience preparing individual and business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120S, and 1120) Strong understanding of tax compliance and tax research Proficiency with tax software such as UltraTax, Thomson Reuters, CCH, or similar platforms preferred Strong attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
