Senior Staff Accountant

We are partnered with a well-established organization in Bakersfield that is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This is a full-time, 100% on-site position in Kern County. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a broad scope of responsibilities and is looking for continued growth. The Senior Staff Accountant will support key accounting functions including financial reporting, account reconciliations, billing, accounts receivable, collections, cash management, and month-end close. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of their work while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Key Responsibilities Support month-end and year-end close, including account reconciliations and related reporting Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and assist with financial reporting and analysis Support billing, accounts receivable, and collections activities Assist with cash management, account activity, and related reconciliations Review transactions and financial information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies Ensure accounting activities are completed in accordance with GAAP Utilize accounting and financial systems to support daily operations and reporting Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, procedures, and efficiencies Collaborate with internal teams and leadership while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field 4+ years of accounting or related financial operations experience Strong knowledge of GAAP Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Experience with accounting, billing, or financial management systems Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail Must be able to work 100% on-site Salary: $60,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications Retirement plan with employer contribution Generous paid time off and paid holidays Professional development and continuing education opportunities Opportunities for growth and advancement Supportive and collaborative work environment Please note: This position is 100% on-site in Bakersfield, CA. #J-18808-Ljbffr Pinnacle Recruitment
