Job Title: Food Runner - Martorano's Prime

Position Summary: As a Food Runner at Martorano’s Prime, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional food service to our valued customers. You'll be responsible for ensuring efficient, courteous, and professional delivery of meals, while upholding the highest standards of customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring all hot food is promptly delivered within 90 seconds after it's placed in the “take out window.”
• Delivering correct orders to guests with precision, avoiding the need for auctioning of food.
• Quietly setting plates on tables, ensuring the entree is facing the guest.
• Addressing guest requests promptly and satisfactorily; escalating to the appropriate server if necessary.
• Ensuring all delivered food is garnished correctly and accompanied by the proper condiments.
• Having a comprehensive understanding of reading tickets and maintaining a clean, well-stocked line.
• Providing prompt, courteous service to all guests and team members, maintaining a friendly atmosphere.
• Following Martorano’s standards of hospitality by greeting guests warmly and maintaining eye contact.
• Demonstrating full knowledge of table numbers and position points within Martorano’s.
• Assisting team members as needed, including pre-bussing glassware and plates.
• Performing side work, cleaning, and organizing tasks as required.
• Maintaining a clean, well-groomed appearance in compliance with Martorano’s uniform and dress code standards.
• Adhering to proper sanitation procedures and performing related tasks as requested.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a bar, lounge, or full-service restaurant.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to perform basic math.
• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with staff and other departments.
• Full understanding of Martorano’s rules, policies, and procedures.
• A positive attitude, displaying a spirit of enjoyment in your work and interactions with guests.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including holidays, and obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Regular bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching
• Ability to push/pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently
