Summary

As a production associate for Artisan Bakers, the candidate will be an essential part of the Artisan Bakers production team and processes. This person must be passionate, committed and dedicated to the quality of our product and the enrichment of our people. This position requires above-average attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and the ability to quickly process information and act accordingly. This candidate will work closely with the production supervisor and report directly to them.

Objective:

Assist in all aspects of the production process to ensure Artisan Bakers' quality, timeliness, and cleanliness standards are met. This role is responsible for actively participating in the established front-line production process and adhering to the specifications of artisan bakers' policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities/Functions/Main Tasks:

• Produce high-quality products in a safe and hygienic way.

• Produce the right amount of products to meet planned requirements.

• Maximize plant efficiency by immediately and formally reporting mechanical issues to your immediate supervisor.

• Work as a team member to meet daily quotas and assigned tasks.

• Work with a high level of awareness of BRC audit requirements.

• Report all health and safety issues to your immediate supervisor.

• Actively participate in mandatory trainings and certification processes

• Work the production team with demolding, bread forming, dough mixing, and other necessary aspects of the production process.

• Use the listed specifications to determine the quality of the bread being produced

• Maintain standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and good environmental practices using GMP training

• Make sure you are applying the correct procedures and working methods

• Communicate with your leaders and supervisors to ensure all tasks are completed

• Keep a positive attitude, be honest, tidy and clean in appearance, punctual, take pride in your work and collaborate with others.

• Complete additional task assigned by management

Working Environment/ Physical Requirements:

• Large scale manufacturing plant

• Extreme temperature fluctuation

• Slip resistant shoes required

• Ability to lift 30lbs unassisted

• Must be able to stand, bend, and slouch for an extended period of up to 8 hours.

• Must be able to grip, squeeze, and hold items for an extended period of time of up to 8 hours

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. A BA or BS degree or equivalent is preferred.

• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

• You must possess general knowledge of food manufacturing, with a minimum of 2 years of previous experience in large production facilities.

• Must possess the ability to meet deadlines.

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Must possess the ability to solve problems and make high cognitive decisions.

• Must possess the ability to make decisions in a timely and effective manner.

• You must possess the ability to work under pressure.

• They must have a positive attitude, be honest, neat and clean in appearance, punctual, take pride in their work and be cooperative.

• You must be willing to learn.
