Position Details Start Date: ASAP End Date: 05/28/2027 Location: Allegan County, Michigan, 35 hours per week, on-site School Year: 2026-2027 Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling to assist students facing personal challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or family issues. Support students with developing coping strategies and emotional resilience. Respond promptly to crisis situations like bullying, abuse, or self-harm incidents, offering immediate support and connecting students to resources. Collaborate with families to address concerns impacting student well‑being and academic success, providing referrals as needed. Advocate for students' access to necessary resources and help remove barriers to learning related to absenteeism, poverty, or family circumstances. Qualifications Valid state school social work license or certification. Prior experience working with students in a school setting. Strong communication and crisis intervention skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with families, staff, and external resources. Knowledge of social‑emotional development, mental health promotion, and prevention programs.
