Recruitment is for a two-year appointment for the 2026-27 and the 2027-28 Academic Year. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Duties and responsibilities include teaching any of the following lower-division general education courses: Logic and Argumentative Writing Philosophical Classics: Knowledge and Reality Philosophical Classics: Ethics and Political Philosophy Other teaching assignments are available according to expertise. Teaching load is five courses per semester. Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank. As of July 2024, the classification salary ranges for the respective ranks are: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS A Ph.D. or ABD in Philosophy is required. Applicants must document excellence in teaching at the college or university level.
