Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical examinations and comprehensive medical history reviews
• Assist in assessing and diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting diagnostic imaging and laboratory findings
• Work collaboratively with surgeons to develop and implement individual surgical treatment plans
• Provide intraoperative assistance, which includes setting up operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and managing surgical instruments during operations
• Deliver outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care, involving medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education

Education

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a focus on surgical care is highly preferred

Certifications

• Current and valid PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Skills

• Comprehensive understanding of surgical practices and sterile techniques
