Compliance Specialist

Technical Regulations & Standards (TRS) Compliance Engineer Position Summary We are seeking a Technical Regulations & Standards (TRS) Compliance Engineer to support Gas Power products, controls, parts, contractual services, and environmental compliance across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia . The role will ensure products and services meet applicable global technical, environmental, electrical, hazardous-location, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform technical regulatory and compliance assessments for Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Generator, Controls, DCS, and BOP systems. Review and validate compliance documentation including ATEX, IECEx, CSA, CUTR, LVD, EMC, PED, Declarations of Conformity/Incorporation, type-examination certificates, test reports, MTRs, welding documentation, and hardware markings . Develop compliance specifications, plans, technical dossiers, and project deliverables and coordinate with third-party agencies and certification bodies. Support REACH, RoHS, SCIP, WEEE, Battery, PFAS, POP, and other environmental compliance programs across EU and non-EU countries. Analyze BOMs and parts data to identify regulatory requirements and support product and service compliance. Support Controls TRS activities , including compliance workflows, BOM reviews, supplier documentation, certifications, and regulatory assessments for controls hardware and systems. Perform part-level compliance reviews for quotes and sales orders across global markets and support customs classification and ECCN requirements. Develop and maintain compliance workflows, databases, documentation, and processes within PLM/ERP systems . Support Hazardous Area (HazMap) calculations and documentation for Gas Turbine, Generator, and Steam Turbine equipment. Act as a technical focal point for compliance activities during ITO, OTR, NPI, FPC, contractual services, and outage projects . Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, suppliers, customers, FieldCore, third-party agencies, and internal stakeholders to resolve compliance issues. Provide regulatory research and communicate changes, requirements, risks, and compliance impacts to stakeholders. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline . Experience in technical regulations, product compliance, regulatory affairs, environmental compliance, or engineering standards . Strong understanding of global regulatory requirements and technical standards. Experience with BOM reviews, compliance documentation, supplier certificates, and regulatory assessments . Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. Experience working with global teams and international regulatory requirements. Preferred Experience Gas Power, Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Industrial Equipment, or Electrical/Controls industry. Knowledge of ATEX, IECEx, EMC/EMI, LVD, PED, REACH, RoHS, SCIP, WEEE, PFAS, POP, and Battery regulations . Experience with Hazardous Area/HazMap assessments . Experience with PLM, ERP/SAP, compliance databases, and engineering workflows .
