IT Specialist

Friedman Real Estate is looking for an IT Specialist to join their team in Farmington Hills, MI. This is a front-line technical support role with a project component. You will handle escalated support tickets, manage device lifecycle and user onboarding, and contribute to infrastructure and security initiatives as assigned.We are looking for a candidate with at least two years of IT support experience in a business environment who is ready to take on greater responsibility, with the opportunity to grow into systems administration or security.What We're Looking For- 2–3 years of IT support experience in a corporate or business environment- Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory / Entra ID, and basic networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP)- Experience with a ticketing system and working to defined SLAs- Hands-on experience with endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM, or comparable)- Strong communication skills; able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical staff- Sound judgment in determining when to resolve an issue and when to escalate- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to properties in the metro areaNice to have: PowerShell scripting; CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+ or Microsoft certifications (MD-102, AZ-900, SC-900); experience with Meraki, Zendesk, Yardi, or commercial real estate operations; AV and low-voltage familiarity.What You'll Do- Resolve escalated support tickets for hardware, software, network, and access issues within our Zendesk queue and defined SLAs- Manage endpoint lifecycle: imaging, deployment, and support of Windows devices through Intune, and management of the iOS device fleet- Perform user onboarding and offboarding, including accounts, licensing, group membership, device provisioning, and access removal- Perform day-to-day administration of Microsoft 365: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID- Support MFA, conditional access, and endpoint security tools, and escalate security events to the appropriate team- Provide remote and on-site support for property management and construction staff in the field- Support conference room AV, printers, phones, and physical access control systems- Document resolutions and maintain knowledge base articles- Complete assigned tasks on infrastructure, migration, and security projectFor You:- Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits- Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k)- 3+ weeks PTO and 10 paid holidays- Continuing education reimbursement- Referral bonuses and recognition programsAbout Friedman Real EstateFriedman Real Estate is one of the Midwest's largest commercial real estate providers, with integrated brokerage, property management, construction, and mortgage banking practices.
