Accountability And Reporting Program Specialist

The Accountability and Reporting (AR) team plays a pivotal role in establishing transparent standards for agency-wide data stewardship in accountability calculation and State Report Card reporting. The team implements policies to ensure schools and districts are evaluated according to both state and federal legal requirements. Each year, the AR team reviews and applies updated accountability measures that assess school and district performance based on student learning outcomes.

The team is responsible for various projects and processes to ensure all data metrics used for accountability and State Report Card reporting are accurate and verified with schools and districts prior to publication. These projects and processes include, but not limited to, accountability data verification process, graduation cohort process, college and career readiness data verification process, state report card data review process, and Tennessee school directory data verification process.

The Accountability and Reporting Program Specialist reports to the Senior Director of Accountability and Reporting. This role manages projects and processes assigned by the Senior Director and support other processes as team priorities evolve.

Key responsibilities include:

• Document review to verify accountability data accuracy and alignment with established business rules.
• Primary coordinator for the Tennessee School Directory (TNSD) verification process, ensuring statewide data accuracy relied upon for accountability determinations, federal reporting, and cross-division operational use.
• Flexibility in responding to the evolving needs of the team, which include assisting with other processes as needed.
