Financial Management AnalystDuties As a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST, GS-0501-09, you will be responsible to have extensive knowledge of all pay operations that are handled by the Pay and Exam branch. Resolve the most difficult pay problems including extensive research, review, and application of prior pay and tax laws, regulations, and entitlements. Apply pay and tax laws, regulations, directives, and policies to all cases. Must have the ability to effectively communicate with different levels within the State's command and with external agencies, to include Financial Services and National Guard Bureau. Ensure work is processed in accordance with established guidelines, regulations, policies, and procedures. Responsible to assist in the training and development of the Financial Services Technicians assigned to the section. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Application must indicate at least three months of basic finance program training or competencies that provided knowledge of financial principles and procedures. Must have some understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the National Guard financial business program requirements. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed.
