Lab Manager - Lead Our Exceptional Laboratory Team

Lead laboratory operations at our new community hospital in Farmington, New Mexico! This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality laboratory services while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

What You'll Do

Direct daily laboratory operations, including staff scheduling and resource allocation
Monitor workload across functional areas to maintain productivity
Implement and maintain quality control standards
Collaborate with physicians, laboratory staff, and the Medical Director
Manage laboratory information systems and oversee equipment maintenance
Lead staff recruitment, training, and development
Ensure regulatory compliance and manage quality assurance programs
Coordinate with pathologists on compliance and documentation

What You'll Need

Associate's degree in clinical laboratory science or related discipline
Minimum 2 years management, supervisor, or team lead experience
ASCP/AMT certification preferred
Knowledge of laboratory regulatory requirements and compliance standards
Understanding of infection control and laboratory safety protocols
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Experience with laboratory information systems
Normal color vision required
