Position Profile Executive Director Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation Since the 1980s, Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation has been part of the fabric of Enumclaw — not simply delivering services, but inspiring and weaving a culture of care across this community. For over four decades, RFWF has created the ways and means for neighbors to show up for neighbors: addressing hunger, expanding access to healthcare, supporting mental health, and walking alongside students and families across the greater Enumclaw area. The Foundation is entering a new season, and we are looking for an Executive Director who can honor both the depth of that legacy and tend to the energy of what's next — someone who leads not from above, but from within. About the Role The Executive Director is the steward of RFWF's mission, entrusted with carrying forward a vibrant, volunteer-driven organization into its next chapter of growth and impact. This is a role for someone who sees leadership as an act of care itself — who can sustain and inspire the people who invest in and animate this work, while casting a compelling vision for the future and honoring the relationships, traditions, and trust that generations of community members have co-created. Reporting to the Board of Trustees and leading a team of 5+ staff alongside hundreds of dedicated volunteers, the Executive Director will: Steward Vision & Strategy — Guide long-range strategic planning that honors RFWF's roots while responding boldly to the community's evolving needs Cultivate Resources — Lead fundraising and development efforts that invite others into the mission, building sustainable support for the work Champion the Programs — Oversee and strengthen program operations that address hunger, healthcare access, mental health, and student support Lead & Empower People — Invest in, nourish and sustain the staff and deeply engaged volunteer community, recognizing volunteers as the heartbeat of this organization Tell the Story — Guide communications and marketing that reflect RFWF's voice and invite the broader community to fuel the innovation, generosity, and hope this work depends on. Ensure Sound Stewardship — Oversee compliance, HR, and administration with integrity and care, treating budgets as moral documents that reflect our values — and in doing so, safeguard the trust the community has placed in this organization. This is an invitation to lead with vision, to steward what has been built with humility, and to help write the next chapter of a community's ongoing commitment to one another. Areas of Responsibility: Strategic Planning Work with Board of Trustees to identify, create and implement strategic plans to actualize RFWF’s goals and objectives. This may include strategic planning meetings/retreats, forming and supporting related committees, etc. Communicate strategic plans, both organization-wide and micro-level as they relate to specific programs/activities, to all team members and partners. Develop partnerships with stakeholders, community partners and other relevant parties to develop and achieve goals and objectives outlined in strategic plans. Continually assess community resources and needs. Develop and adapt solutions to solve for outstanding and emerging need. Development/Fundraising Develop and implement multi-touch and multi-channel donor journey with focus on both acquisition and retention Continually monitor success of fundraising activities to include acquisition and retention rates, ROI and competitive analysis Focus fundraising efforts on individual/corporate donors, grants, annual gala as well as planned giving program development. Oversee staff and volunteers who manage and implement RFWF’s annual fundraising gala and other supporting fundraising events throughout the year. Identify, secure and report on grant funding from foundation, corporate and local government sources. Oversee Bloomerang donor management system (CRM tool) Communications, Marketing & Brand Develop, implement and protect brand identity representative of Foundation mission and values Ensure that brand is consistently and clearly communicated through each interaction across the organization Develop and implement multi-channel marketing and communications plan utilizing digital, social, written and in-person touchpoints Design and distribute communications across all channels (web, email, print, social) Secure speaking engagements among local and regional partnerships, government agencies, clubs, community events, etc. Serve as public relations contact for local news outlets, partner communications, etc. Serve on local boards and committees focused on improving the communities we serve. Budget & Board Relations: Together, with the on-site accountant. The ED will Develop and monitor annual operating budget of over $750,000 Continually monitor financials across the organization using Quickbooks Online software Organize and support the Foundation President in implementing monthly meetings of the Board of Trustees Work closely with the Foundation’s Treasurer to prepare financial reports for the monthly finance committee meeting Support any and all sub-committees of the Board of Trustees Manage payroll to ensure staff are paid accurately and in accordance with state and federal law. Monitor and approve staff expenses as they fit within the annual budget Team Leadership Identify, recruit, train and lead a team of employees and volunteers who can lead departments and manage business functions Monitor operations and ensure that employees and volunteers comply with regulatory and legal requirements. Create a positive culture that represents the nature of RFWF mission and motivates employees Other Oversee building operations including supervision of scheduling, maintenance, community use, costs, etc. Identify and develop capital plans including fundraising and project management. See projects through to completion and keep Board of Trustees and other stakeholders informed throughout.Examples include facility acquisition/expansion, vehicle acquisition, etc. Partner with local service organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Plateau Outreach Ministries and others as needed Position Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Non-profit Administration, Communications or related area of study 10+ years in human services field with increasing level of responsibility 5+ years staff supervision 5+ years budget development and monitoring 5+ years in multi-channel communication Proficiency with the following technical applications: Microsoft Office Google Suite Graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc. 3+ years in CRM and/or Donor Management tools 2+ years with Quickbooks or equivalent bookkeeping software 3-5 years of Grant Writing experience preferred Compensation The Executive Director is a full-time, salaried position and requires at least 40 hours per week. Work hours include in-office, remote and outside meetings/events.
