Job Title:Conveyor TechnicianDepartment:Administration, Facilities & SecretarialCountry:United States of AmericaState/Province:IllinoisCity:RomeovilleFull/Part Time:Full timeJob Summary:Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of automated conveyor systems and associated equipment. The incumbent will coordinate with internal teams to ensure optimal system operations and minimize downtime.Job Description:Key Responsibilities:Install, align, and test new automated conveyor systems according to layout specifications, manuals, and electrical/mechanical schematicsPerform preventative maintenance on conveyor systems including, but not limited to, lubrication, adjustments, belt/chain replacements, and cleaningDiagnose and repair malfunctions of automated conveyors, motors, sensors, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and related electronic controlsTroubleshoot issues with system PLCs, variable frequency drivers (VFDs), and human machine interface (HMI)Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and diagramsPartner with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to coordinate installations, repairs, and system upgradesMaintain documentation of all work performed by updating logs and checklistsAdhere to all lockout/tagout, confined space, and other safety proceduresQualifications:Minimum Qualifications:18+ years of age with a High School Diploma or GED equivalent with at least 3 years of experience working on automated material handling conveyor systems AND Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences:Electrical and mechanical tools and test equipment experienceAbility to read and understand electrical, PLC, and mechanical blueprints/schematicFamiliarity with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or other major PLC brandsAbility to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issuesAbility to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas through various mediumsAbility to process information with high levels of accuracyAbility to work with minimal directionAbility to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move appliance up to 100 pounds, work at heights using ladders/lifts)Willingness to work outdoors in the elementsAble to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends if neededAbility to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)Preferred Qualifications:Vocational degree, technical diploma, or certificate in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related fieldWork Schedule:Monday - Friday 8am - 5pmThe expected starting pay range for this position is between $29.15 - $36.45 per hourThis position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.Compensation:Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
