Why Choose the VA Long Beach Healthcare System? Competitive Starting Annual Salary: $375,000–$400,000, with up to $15,000 in annual performance‑based pay and additional proficiency awards. Salary Reviews: Every two years with annual cost‑of‑living adjustments. Education Debt Reduction Program: Up to $200,000 over 1‑5 years, subject to eligibility. Work Schedule: Compressed tour of duty and 1:4 weeks call coverage with resident support. Practice Scope: 50% interventional radiology, 50% general diagnostic radiology covering inpatient and outpatient settings. Advanced Procedures: Y‑90 radioembolization, prostate artery embolization, endovascular peripheral arterial disease, spinal procedures, biopsies, drainages, and more. Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Participation in weekly vascular, genitourinary tumor, and liver/GI tumor boards. Qualifications U.S. citizen. M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school; foreign medical graduates must be ECFMG certified. Current, full, and unrestricted state or D.C. medical license. Completed residency training.
