Registrar - Mt. Holly - PT (3rd Shift)

Job Location Mount Holly – 175 Madison Avenue Job Type and Schedule On‑Site, Part‑time, 3rd Shift (United States of America) Total weekly hours: 12 Schedule: Every other Friday and Saturday 11p.m. – 7a.m., every other Monday 7p.m. – 3a.m. All Registrar positions require availability to complete 3‑weeks of day‑shift orientation before moving to the hired schedule (3 days per week for the first 3 weeks). The schedule may vary and is created by the hiring manager at the location that you are hired into. Position Summary Gathers and enters patient demographic information into the hospital information system; verifies benefits and obtains required authorization; obtains co‑pays, deductibles, co‑insurance and deposit amounts; performs accurate and thorough registrations; remains compliant with regulatory guidelines; serves as the first contact representative of Virtua by providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Obtain copies of patient insurance cards and identification and enter demographic, financial, insurance and clinical information into the computer system; verify the completeness and accuracy of all data. Obtain signatures on all required documents for consent, medical necessity, and required State, Federal, and regulatory documentation; process all necessary paperwork. Identify, collect and process co‑pays, deductibles, co‑insurance and deposits from patients; facilitate resolution of billing issues by liaising with patient accounting, patients and insurance representatives. Identify and provide appropriate referrals and payment options to patients requiring financial assistance. Provide additional office support including telephones, scheduling, typing, filing, etc. Qualifications Preferred: 1 year of customer service in a professional setting (excluding retail/food service). Preferred: Medical office or admission experience. Must demonstrate a positive demeanor and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to handle potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks. Must have basic typing, computer, and/or word‑processing skills. Education High School diploma. Training / Certification / Licensure One year of Epic system experience highly preferred. Hourly Rate $18.69 – $26.01 (actual salary/rate will vary based on experience and internal equity).
