Litigation Associate Attorney

About the Role: We are seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2 3+ years of litigation experience to join our growing White Plains office. This is an opportunity to work with an experienced legal team within a busy, collaborative full-service law firm where attorneys are encouraged to take ownership of their work while developing their litigation skills.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, strong communicator and organized team player who is comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines. The role provides hands-on exposure to litigation matters, including pleadings, motions, discovery, legal research, court appearances, depositions, hearings and trials.

Key Responsibilities: Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, and other litigation-related documents. Conduct thorough legal research and prepare well-supported written work. Appear in state and federal courts as appropriate and support attorneys during court proceedings. Assist with depositions, hearings and trial preparation. Help manage litigation matters from initial case development through subsequent proceedings. Analyze legal and factual issues and contribute to effective case strategies. Communicate clearly with attorneys, clients, courts and other relevant parties. Manage assignments, deadlines and competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Work collaboratively with attorneys and team members in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in New York. 2 3+ years of litigation experience. Experience with state and federal court litigation. Strong oral and written advocacy skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize work effectively in a busy practice. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook. Experience with alternative dispute resolution (ADR) or administrative tribunals is a plus.
