About the Position

We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a Locum Tenens assignment supporting a critical access hospital. This opportunity offers a broad anesthesia case mix across general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, pediatrics, ENT, urology, endoscopy & other surgical services, with weekday coverage plus evening & weekend call.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for inpatient surgical procedures
• Provide anesthesia care across multiple surgical specialties
• Support general surgery cases
• Provide anesthesia for endoscopies, total joints & arthroscopies
• Perform anesthesia for peripheral nerve blocks
• Support urology, ENT & gynecology procedures
• Provide anesthesia for C sections
• Provide pediatric anesthesia for dental, ENT & orthopedic procedures
• Provide labor epidural services
• Participate in admissions related to anesthesia services
• Provide evening & weekend call coverage
• Respond to anesthesia needs during scheduled call
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, nurses & other clinical staff
• Provide safe, evidence based anesthesia care within approved privileges

• Monday through Friday
• 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 8 hour shifts
• Evening & weekend call required
• Current call model is approximately 2 days on / 2 days off , based on provider availability
• Call schedule may vary
• Approximately 5 to 15 patient contacts per day
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Assignment duration: approximately 6 months

Requirements

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
• NBCRNA certification required
• Active Alaska CRNA license required
• Alaska license must be in hand at the time of presentation
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• PALS certification required
• ATLS certification required
• ACLS certification required per job overview
• EPIC proficient user required
• Current clinical experience representative of requested privileges
• Ability to provide anesthesia care across a broad range of patient populations
• COVID 19 vaccination required per facility guidelines
