Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of pediatric, adult, and elderly patients employing standardized tests and keen observations.
• Create customized treatment plans that tackle both immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
• Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure a holistic approach to care.
• Educate patients and their families to foster ongoing progress beyond the therapy sessions.
• Provide assistance with intermittent inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions to guarantee a consistent treatment path.
• Maintain precise, up-to-date documentation compliant with regulations at all state and federal levels.
• Commit to ongoing learning and development by staying informed about the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandated within the first 30 days of employment.
