Description

• Assess individuals across pediatric, adult, and older adult segments using both established assessment tools and personal observation.
• Craft tailored therapy plans that encompass immediate objectives alongside long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions that enhance language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Cooperate with an array of healthcare professionals including OT, PT, nurses, doctors, and family members to formulate cohesive treatment strategies.
• Educate both patients and families to facilitate progress beyond clinical environments.
• Occasionally provide inpatient speech therapy evaluations, ensuring a seamless continuum of care for every patient.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with local, federal, and organizational policies.
• Engage in ongoing learning and professional development, actively participating in peer discussions and education programs.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days post-hire.
