Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning children, adults, and the elderly using both formal assessment tools and observational practices.
• Design tailored treatment strategies that meet immediate needs while fostering long-term communication and swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy solutions focusing on a broad spectrum of areas including communication, language acquisition, fluency, and swallowing difficulties.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and families, to ensure holistic care approaches.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families, encouraging progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional evaluations and interventions for patients in the inpatient setting, ensuring a seamless care continuum.
• Keep precise and timely documentation that aligns with all relevant regulatory standards.
• Commit to ongoing learning and professional growth through continuing education opportunities.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already holding ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within 30 days of hire.
