Facilities HVAC Technician

Responsibilities

HVAC Tech maintains and repairs heating and air conditioning and ventilation systems, electric motor driven absorber type chillers, window air conditioners, refrigerated laboratory equipment, walk-in and domestic type refrigerators and freezers and refrigerated water fountains, energy management systems, air compressors, pneumatic and electronic controls, electric driven chillers and support equipment, etc. in or about the medical center facility and residential sites and off-site Locations.

• Demonstrates required technical skills, knowledge, and abilities.
• Ensure that buildings HVAC system are maintained in accordance with relevant regulations, organization standards, and fiscal considerations.
• Ensure that high standards of safety are developed, met, and maintained, and in compliance with the Joint Commission standards and guidelines.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications :

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• General computer literacy
• Current driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of a Trade School
• Vocational or technical training
• Completion of a Buildings Operators Certification program
• EPA 608 License
• Boiler Operator License
• BAC Net Systems
• California Life-Safety Technician Certification
• Pool Operator Certification
