Information Technology Specialist

A growing organization is seeking a dependable and highly organized IT Support & Equipment Coordinator to support employees across multiple locations. This position combines day-to-day technical support with responsibility for managing company-issued computers, monitors, phones, and other technology equipment. The right candidate will be comfortable handling a wide range of responsibilities, working independently, and staying organized in a fast-moving environment. What You’ll Be Responsible For Employee Technology Support Respond to employee technical questions by phone, email, and help desk ticket. Troubleshoot common computer, software, login, network, and equipment issues. Guide employees through technical solutions in a clear and professional manner. Escalate more complex issues when necessary. Document technical problems, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions. Maintain internal technology instructions, procedures, and frequently asked questions. New-Hire Technology Setup Prepare and configure laptops, monitors, phones, accessories, and other equipment for new employees. Package and ship equipment to employees working in different locations. Confirm that equipment is delivered and employees have the tools needed to begin working. Provide basic instructions on company hardware, software, and technology processes. Inventory and Equipment Management Maintain accurate records of all company-owned technology equipment. Track equipment assignments, serial numbers, shipping details, condition, and location. Monitor available inventory and identify upcoming equipment needs. Organize and securely store new, returned, and replacement equipment. Coordinate the return of equipment from former employees. Provide return instructions and shipping materials when needed. Track outstanding equipment and follow up on overdue returns. Inspect returned equipment and determine whether it should be reused, repaired, replaced, or retired. Reset and prepare returned equipment for future employees. Assist with resolving damaged, missing, or unreturned equipment. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or as business needs evolve. What We’re Looking For Strong understanding of computers, hardware, software, operating systems, and common business applications. Previous experience in IT support, help desk support, equipment management, or a related position. Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail. Ability to accurately manage inventory records and equipment assignments. Ability to balance technical support requests with equipment preparation and shipping deadlines. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to protect confidential employee and company information. Microsoft 365 administration experience is preferred. Experience with VoIP phone systems is helpful. Occasional travel may be required.
