Safety and Occupational Health Manager

Safety Program Specialist
Duties
Directs the planning, scheduling and the conduct of surveys and inspections of safety programs.
Adjust schedules to accommodate fluctuation in workload resulting from initiation of new programs, phase out of current programs, changes in priorities, etc.
Conduct investigations to identify casual factors and recommend countermeasures to control or eliminate hazards.
Develop safe working procedures based on job hazard surveys.
Evaluates adequacy of safety programs to cope with operational factors.
Counsel employees on deficiencies and/or disciplinary matters and provides oral and/or written reprimands.
Facilitate training for subordinate safety professionals.
Knowledge of explosives safety site plans utilizing manual techniques, Explosives Siting Software and other automated techniques.
