The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, provide infant care, administer medications, and maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patient conditions. Develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care. Provide direct nursing care to OB patients and infants. Administer medications according to physician orders and established protocols. Accurately document all patient care in the EMR. Complete all required unit competencies. Maintain patient and staff safety and report or correct safety hazards. Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team. Provide compassionate, professional, and patient-centered care. Utilize critical thinking and sound nursing judgment when responding to changes in patient condition.
