Criminal Defense Associate Attorney

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA, for a Criminal Defense Associate Attorney. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of criminal defense matters, engaging in legal research, drafting motions and pleadings, and representing clients in court proceedings. Additional duties include collaborating with senior attorneys to develop case strategies, negotiating with prosecutors, and providing counsel to clients on legal rights and options. The role requires a commitment to advocating for clients and working toward optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

Strong skills in Legal Research and the application of law
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the California State Bar
Effective courtroom representation and persuasive communication skills
Exceptional written and verbal advocacy abilities
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment
Preferably Bilingual: proficiency in both English and Spanish
