JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Manager - Post Secondary Readiness FLSA STATUS: Exempt REPORTS TO : Chief of School Innovation PAY GRADE: ADM-06 LOCATION: Education Support Services DAYS: 228 JOB ID & DATE: ADM-74| May, 2026 JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY The Manager of Postsecondary Readiness will ensure that all students in Adams County School District 14 have access to high-quality postsecondary readiness programming and opportunities that prepare them for success in college, career, military, and workforce pathways. The manager will oversee the implementation, coordination, and expansion of district-wide postsecondary readiness initiatives, including concurrent enrollment, career and technical education pathways, career exploration, work-based learning opportunities, financial literacy, scholarship and FAFSA support, and partnerships with higher education institutions and community organizations. The manager will collaborate with district leaders, school administrators, counselors, teachers, students, families, higher education partners, and community stakeholders to ensure equitable access to postsecondary opportunities and successful student transitions beyond graduation. REQUIREMENTS Education Level Details Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Guidance Counseling, or a related field. License / Certification Required Valid Colorado Principal License An active CTE Director Credential issued by the Colorado Community College System. CLDE and ReadAct Preferred. Valid Colorado Driver's License. Work Experience Required Minimum of three years of experience as a teacher Experience in Career and Technical Education (CTE) or secondary school administration. Experience coordinating college and career readiness initiatives within a K-12 educational setting preferred. Experience working with higher education institutions, workforce development organizations, or community partnerships preferred. Proven experience managing complex federal budgets (preferred). Minimum of three years of successful leadership experience preferred Other Skills and Abilities Required Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict management skills. Knowledge of Colorado standards, graduation guidelines, ICAP requirements, college admissions processes, FAFSA requirements, and career readiness indicators. Demonstrated ability to navigate state data systems and college-readiness software. Strong cultural competency and a commitment to creating equitable, diverse postsecondary pathways for all student demographics. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, administrators, vendors, and community stakeholders. Ability to manage budgets, resources, and departmental operations effectively. Ability to establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with District departments, colleges, universities, community organizations, and business partners. Strong organizational, communication, leadership, strategic planning, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and respond effectively to operational challenges and emergency situations. Ability to facilitate professional development and support continuous program improvement. Ability to inspire, manage, and collaborate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. Serve on district-level committees and planning teams. Compensation for this position is $115,774 to $162,841 per year (2026-2027), based on verified experience and qualifications, and aligned with the Adams 14 salary schedule. - Develop, implement, coordinate, and oversee district-wide postsecondary readiness initiatives aligned with district goals and student achievement outcomes.
- Strategic Pathway Development: Design, implement, and expand career pathways, technical education, and work-based learning opportunities tailored to local labor market demands and Colorado's "Top Jobs."
- CTE & Grant Management: Lead, write, and monitor state and federal grants, specifically the Carl Perkins Grant and the Colorado Technical Education Act (TEA) funds. Ensure absolute compliance with the Colorado Community College System (CCCS).
- Concurrent Enrollment Oversight: Partner with local higher education institutions (e.g., Colorado community colleges and 4-year universities) to build articulation agreements and expand dual-credit/Concurrent Enrollment opportunities.
- ICAP Leadership: Direct the district-wide implementation and digital platform tracking (e.g., Xello, SchooLinks, or Naviance) of the state-mandated Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP) from grades 6 12.
- Counseling Support: Collaborate with secondary principals and counseling staff to establish uniform college planning, financial aid guidance (FAFSA/CAFSA), and scholarship resources.
- Industry & Community Partnerships: Build and maintain active CTE Advisory Boards as required by Colorado law. Cultivate regional relationships with local chambers of commerce, workforce centers, and industry leaders to secure student internships and apprenticeships.
- Data Analysis & Accountability: Gather, interpret, and present student performance data, graduation guidelines, and credential-attainment rates to the Board of Education and the Colorado Department of Education (CDE).
- Help set the vision and strategic direction for district-wide postsecondary readiness programming and student transition supports.
- Promote a culture of high expectations, college and career readiness, equity, and continuous improvement throughout the district.
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all interactions with students, staff, families, and community stakeholders.
- Encourage collaboration and innovation among schools, district departments, and external partners to expand student opportunities.
- Relate to staff, students, parents, and community partners in ways that convey mutual respect, concern, and high expectations.
- Use feedback, stakeholder input, and student outcome data to continuously improve programs and services.
- Integrate the Graduate Profile in areas of the district, including curriculum, information nights, and communication efforts.
- Serve as an instructional liaison between district departments and campus personnel.
- Lead the development and implementation of district postsecondary readiness plans and initiatives aligned with district strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with school and district leaders to identify barriers to student postsecondary success and develop strategies for improvement.
- Systematically monitor the effectiveness of assigned programs through review of participation data, student outcomes, and postsecondary success indicators.
- Develop and coordinate professional learning opportunities to support college and career readiness implementation at the school level.
- Support efforts by principals and school teams to achieve district and campus postsecondary readiness goals.
- Analyze and set goals for data related to graduation rates, FAFSA completion, concurrent enrollment participation, industry credentials, and postsecondary enrollment to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Conducts Needs Assessments to determine short and long-range projects, insights on curriculum, schedule, infrastructure, evaluation, communication, policies, professional development, and other areas.
- Implement policies established by federal and state law, Colorado Department of Education guidance, State Board of Education rules, and local board policy related to postsecondary readiness programming.
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, grant documentation, and other required compliance materials.
- Assist with the development, revision, and implementation of district procedures and guidelines related to postsecondary readiness initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and sensitive information in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements.
- Support and follow local, state, and federal rules and policies.
- Assist in identifying programmatic and operational needs during the budget development process.
- Manage grant funds, departmental budgets, and allocated resources in accordance with district procedures and grant requirements.
- Coordinate with district departments and community partners regarding program logistics, scheduling, transportation, and operational support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among campus administrators, counselors, teachers, district leaders, higher education institutions, workforce partners, students, families, and community stakeholders.
- Communicate district postsecondary readiness expectations, opportunities, timelines, and resources effectively to all stakeholders.
- Promote awareness of college and career-readiness opportunities through outreach, presentations, and community engagement.
- Support district communication efforts related to postsecondary readiness initiatives and student success outcomes.
- Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with external partners and community organizations.
- Supervise and evaluate assigned personnel and program staff as applicable.
- Conference regularly with assigned staff to discuss program implementation, performance expectations, and professional growth opportunities.
- Assist in recruiting, training, assigning, and supporting personnel involved in postsecondary readiness initiatives.
- Support implementation of district expectations, policies, and procedures related to assigned programs and services.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and monitoring departmental budgets, grants, and expenditures.
