This job requires coordinating with customers, suppliers, test facilities, and other related fields including manufacturing, subcontracts, quality, structure design, analysis, systems engineering, and integration with affected subsystems and facilities. Other duties may include,Subsystem IntegrationLead the conceptual development, requirements definition, and design of propulsion componentsDevelop product performance specifications, statements of work, and supplier data requirements for componentsMaintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical analyses to support systems and componentsIndependently develop and provide design solutions, of varying complexity, using solid models, detailed drawings, and release of engineering work products.Independently review requirements, from various sources (instrumentation, dynamics, stress, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of assigned products.Support production meetings and manufacturing & test anomaly/discrepancy resolutionEvaluate, select, and own the technical aspects of the procurement from the selected hardware supplierProvide user documentation and recommendations to data packages to support peer and customer reviews, present analysis data to engineering teams, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel at technical interchange meetings and design review.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or in related discipline Experience with 1st order analysis in fluids, statics and dynamics, heat transfer/ thermalExperience with mechanical CAD modeling in CREO or equivalentExcellent verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences5+ years of related experienceKnowledge of Requirement development and managementDesired SkillsExperience with propulsion component development and system integration experienceAbility to collaborate effectively with adjacent fields (systems engineering, electronics, stress/thermal analysis, configuration management, production, test, quality…)Experience with using flight telemetry data for analysis and processingExperience with supply chain management and subcontractsFamiliar with design for Manufacturability (DFM)Experience developing Proposal documents and Basis of Estimates (BOE’s)Experience with anomaly management with standard root cause tools (e.g. fishbone or fault tree analysis)Experience presenting to program leadeship and customers during Design ReviewsPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
