Wayne’s Engine Rebuilding has been rebuilding engines in Riverside since 1971. We need an experienced, skilled machinist who already knows Rottler and Robins equipment and can start immediately. This is not a training job.

Primary machines (must have real time on these):Rottler F10A automatic boring and sleeving bar — large-capacity cylinder boring and sleeving (automotive and heavy-duty / diesel blocks)Rottler F65A boring bar — precision single-point high-speed cylinder boring, Rottler H85AX CNC automatic vertical hone — hole-to-hole honing, load control, and consistent cylinder finish

What you’ll do

Set up, run, and keep the F10A, F65A, and H85AX producing accurate work

Bore, sleeve, and hone gasoline and diesel blocks

Choose tooling, speeds, feeds, inserts, and abrasives for size, geometry, and finish Check work with micrometers, bore gauges, and related precision tools Run Robins engine-rebuilding equipment as needed Keep machines, fixtures, and the work area safe and production-ready Required Proven engine machinist experience Hands-on experience on the Rottler F10A, F65A, and H85AX Familiarity with Robins-branded machines Strong measuring, ability to read measuring equipment and job-ticket skills

Founded in 1971, we have rebuilt thousands of engines for passenger cars, light trucks, marine, agricultural, industrial, and high-performance applications.
Our shop is equipped with modern machining equipment, including Rottler boring, honing, and surfacing machines, along with the tooling needed to strip, inspect, recondition, balance, and rebuild engines to a high standard. We use quality components, follow strict quality-control checks, and stand behind our workmanship.
We are looking for experienced, detail-oriented people who take pride in accurate machine work and want to be part of a shop that has been doing this work the right way for more than 50 years.
