Process Engineer - 2nd Shift

Job Overview The Process Engineer will be involved with all aspects associated with the planning / process and fabrication of specialty printed circuit boards. This is a full‑time position located at 6457 Fly Rd., East Syracuse, NY 13057, and is a 2nd shift role with occasional travel ( Essential Knowledge and Skills Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Experience: 2 to 4 years as a Process Engineer, including 1+ year in a PCB fabrication environment (preferred) Knowledge of manufacturing processes and process control; skilled in Root‑Cause Analysis and DOE/CAPABILITY testing Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting equipment software Strong project management, organizational and written and verbal communication skills Ability to work under pressure, make quick decisions, and respond to day‑to‑day problems Physical capability to stand up to 8 hours per day, lift 45 lbs., walk, with fine motor skills and rapid mental‑muscular coordination Knowledge of safety procedures: JSA, PPE, MSDS, and environmental controls Key Responsibilities Interface with various departments to maintain, analyze, and improve all processes, production and associated controlled documentation. Internal and external qualification of new processes. Root cause analysis of day‑to‑day issues across departments. Evaluation of equipment through DOE and capability testing. Accountable for programming and troubleshooting of equipment software. Provide technical and analytical support for customers and suppliers regarding product and chemical processes. Communicate regularly to supervisors and managers, suggest and compose procedural changes, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Generate, accumulate, and handle hazardous wastes generated in daily operations as directed by the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager. Report all accidents, near misses, and safety concerns. Perform job duties utilizing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and participate fully in safety training. Additional Expectations Subject matter expert in area of responsibility or working knowledge of several technical areas. Apply advanced technical principles to complete medium‑to‑complex tasks, and provide input on the group’s technical direction. Follow set processes/protocols and work on assignments of medium to complex level. Structure project plans and manage cost‑effective execution of tasks. Use discretion to design and implement solutions to somewhat complex problems. Meet goals with some direction and supervision; acts as an important player on large technical projects and programs. Typically requires 2 to 4 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 1+ years of experience with a Master’s degree (preferred). Work Environment Works 9 hours a day, 5 days a week, with flexibility for weekend work. Regular attendance is essential. Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $58,857 - $98,095 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may include an annual or quarterly company bonus and a shift premium for alternative shift work.
