We are seeking motivated men and women to join the largest sheriff’s office in northern Minnesota with a staff of 300 including 118 licensed Deputies serving the largest county in Minnesota—over 7,500 square miles, home to 202,000 residents, and a destination for thousands more each season. Duties include responding to calls for service within a patrol area and enforcing laws by proactive patrolling and investigating crimes. Deputy Sheriff Physical Activity Determination Form Physical Fitness Test MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Pass/Fail): Meet the educational requirements or reciprocity standards of the Minnesota Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) Board to become licensed as a peace officer according to Minnesota Rules 6700.0700; OR possession of a valid Minnesota POST license, eligibility, or reciprocity application. Possession of a valid driver’s license. Ability to lawfully possess a firearm in the State of Minnesota.
