Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs to create diagnostic images
- Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately
- Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers, patient data/history)
- Ensure equipment is properly functioning; report potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel
- Lock/tag out equipment as appropriate
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department
Experience Required
- 2 years of relevant experience
Skills & Certifications
- Nuclear Medicine imaging and camera operation
- Radiopharmaceutical preparation and administration
- Radiation safety protocols
- Patient positioning and diagnostic imaging techniques
Eligibilities & qualifications
- PACS documentation and image quality management
