Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare the layout of projects, estimate height, width, length, and other proportions, and select proper material
• Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisor
• Work with materials such as wood, drywall, or sheet metal
• Work with carpentry hand tools and equipment
• Check work along the way to ensure its up to code and specifications
• Work with prefabricated buildings, build stairs, fabricate rebar, fabricate forms, set Simon forms
• Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level
• Replace windows, doors, ceiling tiles along with other general TI work
• Building framing, install metal siding, repair roofing
• Adhere to all rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on site
• Meet or exceed company safety standards
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Minimum Five (5) years' experience
• Must possess the hand tools required to complete their assigned duties

• Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
• A positive attitude, self-motivated, eagerness to learn and a willingness to work hard every day
• An ability to lead by a positive example and a commitment to working as a team
• Attention and commitment to safety and an ability to follow instructions
• Valid Driver's license and clean driving record if assigned to a company vehicle
• Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
• Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner

Working conditions

• Must be able to accommodate customer needs by working flexible hours which may include weekends
• Exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, vibrations and a wet and /or humid environment

Physical requirements

• Requires walking, sitting, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, grasping, crouching, stooping reaching and repetitive motions to a significant degree
• Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
