Automotive Service Manager (Lemont)

*PLEASE READ REQUIREMENTS TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION BEFORE APPLYING* Position Purpose: To ensure customers receives exceptional customer service, while providing complete, error free professional service for his/her vehicle and to maintain a pleasant, safe work environment.

• Assist Area Manager in day to day management duties.
• Manage daily store operation.
• Resolve customer issues/ concerns.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and EPA standards.
• Ensure employees perform required procedures and follow all policies as outlined by the company.
• Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained.
• Handle personnel issues in absence of Area Manager in a professional manner.
• Ensure the store is opened and closed promptly.
• Counsel employees in absence of Area Manager, as needed.
• Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Assist Area Manager in training, leading and developing employees in accordance with company guidelines.
• Assist management team in upholding store image and brand standards.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Work Experience: (Required to be considered for this position)

• Previous automotive shop management preferred.
• Previous service advisor/ writer experience required.

Education:

• High school diploma or a GED
• Automotive technical school or equivalent experience preferred.
