Senior Laboratory Automation Engineer
Eurofins Agroscience Services North Carolina
Eurofins seeks a Senior Laboratory Automation Engineer to optimize automated laboratory platforms and workflows in a regulated environment. The role combines hands-on support, troubleshooting, validation, and process improvement while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert for laboratory automation systems and instrumentation
- Troubleshoot instrument, software, and workflow issues to reduce downtime
- Develop and optimize automated laboratory methods and processes
- Support instrument qualification, validation, calibration, and lifecycle management
- Author and review SOPs, validation documents, and technical reports ensuring compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Automation, Robotics, or related field
- 6+ years supporting laboratory automation, robotics, or regulated laboratory operations
- Hands-on experience with liquid handling systems (Hamilton, Beckman, Tecan, or similar)
- Strong troubleshooting skills for automated instrumentation and laboratory workflows
- Experience with system validation, qualification, and change control activities
- Knowledge of GLP, GMP/GxP, data integrity, and computerized system validation
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across functional teams
