Admit/Discharge Nurse

Works with admissions, bed control, and direct call in the appropriate placement of direct admit patients, completing nursing assessment, and monitoring patients until taken to the nursing unit. Assists nursing units with admissions and discharges and monitors any patients in the Admit/Discharge Lounge while waiting for transportation at discharge.

Requirements:

• AHA ACLS within 90 days.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.
• CardioVascular Disease CEU hours - 4 per year annually by transcript due date.
• Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse's state of residence.
• Must successfully pass Patient Care Orientation.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 365 days.
• RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date.
• Stroke CEU Hours - 4 per year annually by transcript due date.
