Registered Nurse (RN) Surgical Telemetry Full Time Days Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 W. Parker Plano, TX 75093 Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hour shifts, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm Surgical Telemetry Unit - Our Nurses improve the quality of care for patients undergoing general medical surgery, surgical telemetry and post‑op coronary bypass who come to this unit after their recovery period in ICU. What you will need: Associate Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma BSN preferred RN (required) CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)

1. year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program (required)
2. years of RN experience in cardiac or telemetry preferred

RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (required) BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support before providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (required) ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days (required) CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 days (required) What you will do: Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
