We're looking for a motivated and safety-driven Warehouse Laborer who will also serve as an Overhead Crane Operator to join our Kansas City team. This position plays a vital role in the production of high-quality steel plate. If you thrive in a positive work environment and want to be part of a company that builds big things, this is the job for you! This position is 1st Shift ( Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Stage, load, and unload steel plate materials to keep operations flowing smoothly.
• Support general assembly and light fabrication tasks including cutting, troubleshooting and working with machinery (use of a cutting torch, track torch, and circular saw)
• Perform visual inspections when receiving new materials into the warehouse.
• Operate 15/20/30-ton overhead bridge cranes (single/dual hoists) to move, lift, and precisely position heavy loads like steel plate, pipe and coil.
• Use a variety of hoisting attachments: hooks, slings, electromagnets, and buckets — depending on the job.
• Respond to verbal, written, or signal instructions to maneuver loads safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily inspections of cranes and lifting devices (chains, hooks, slings, wire rope, etc.) to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area — housekeeping matters!
• Take on additional tasks to assist team members and management as needed — no two days are the same!

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred , or a strong combination of work experience and practical skills.
• 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial setting is preferred.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Comfortable using cutting torches, plasma cutters and various hand tools .
• Ability to use a tape measure effectively.
• Experience operating overhead or stationary cranes , preferably 30-ton capacity.
• Familiarity with mobile or heavy equipment such as forklifts, a plus!
• Ability to operate and maintain hoisting attachments such as hooks, slings, electromagnets, and buckets.
• Good oral and written communication skills —you’re a clear communicator and strong team player.
• Strong team-oriented mindset , a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Willingness to adapt and pitch in wherever needed— no job is too big or small
