Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

About This Role The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Highlights Location: Bay Shore, NY Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Full-Time, Night shift What You’ll Do Collect and organize patient data using all possible resources. Examine patients to determine physical status through interview, observation, and inspection. Identify and record patients' physical and psycho-social conditions. Formulate care plans prioritizing patient needs and expected outcomes. Collaborate with the health team to address patient needs. Deliver care that communicates the worth and dignity of patients. Administer medications and treatments according to established policies. Evaluate progress toward goal achievement using current data. Write admission and discharge notes reflecting patients' statuses. Participate in review and revision of policies and procedures. Requirements Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred; must be enrolled in an accredited program within 24 months if hired after September 1, 2010. Experience: Telemetry experience required. Licenses & Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. BLS and ACLS required. PALS within 6 months required.
