A die cutter operator is responsible for operating and maintaining die cutting machines in a manufacturing or printing environment. Some of the key responsibilities and duties of a die cutter operator may include: Setting up and adjusting die cutting machines according to job specifications. Loading and unloading materials onto the machine. Operating the machine to cut, shape, and trim materials such as paper, cardboard, fabric, or plastic. Monitoring the production process to ensure quality and efficiency. Performing routine maintenance on the equipment to keep it in good working condition. Troubleshooting and resolving machine issues as they arise. Following safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Communicating with other team members to coordinate workflow and production schedules. Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. Keeping accurate records of production output and machine maintenance. Requirements High school graduate or equivalent. 3-5 years’ experience being a die cutter operator. General knowledge of printing and publishing Perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions, Job tickets, press imposition and rule-up sheets.
