Safety Coordinator

Position: Safety Coordinator
Pay: $35.00/hour
Shift: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with potential for adjustments based on workload
Location: Manteno, IL
- Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials
- Conduct hands-on training sessions for new hires and current employees, including retraining and cross-training
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Food Safety, Safety, and HR teams to ensure training aligns with company policies and regulatory standards
- Establish methods for documenting, tracking, and managing employee training progress
- Recommend improvements to enhance training effectiveness and efficiency
- Experience in manufacturing, food manufacturing, warehousing, or similar production environments preferred
- Proven ability to develop process documentation and explain procedures clearly
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple training priorities and maintain accurate records
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus
- Industrial knowledge and safety training experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt training methods to diverse employee needs
