About the Position Signing Bonus: New full‑time, regular hires are eligible for a $10,000 signing bonus, paid 50% at hire and 50% upon successful completion of probation. The amount is prorated for part‑time employees based on FTE. If the new hire separates before completing probation, reimbursement of the bonus is required. Current Opportunities: We have regular positions for Crisis Specialists (Associate or Licensed). New Associate hires start at a top step of $4,170 biweekly; Licensed hires start at $4,438 biweekly. Shift differentials: PM/evening shift +7.5%, NOC/overnight shift +15%, weekend shift +10%. A minimum of four hours within the shift qualifies for the differential. Mobile Crisis Continuum The Mobile Crisis Continuum unit includes the Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) and the Crisis Aftercare Team (CAT). Both teams are trained to initiate 5150 applications and cross‑train for coverage. The MCRT focuses on acute crisis intervention; the CAT focuses on short‑term case management and linkage for clients at risk of or emerging from a behavioral health crisis. MCRT Vacancies: Three full‑time, regular positions available on the following schedules: Sunday – Wednesday 7:00 am – 5:30 pm Sunday – Wednesday 9:30 pm – 8:00 am Wednesday – Saturday 9:30 pm – 8:00 am CAT has no vacancies currently. Positions are field/community‑based and require responsiveness to behavioral health crisis across Marin County. Responsibilities Provide field/community‑based response and assessment of individuals presenting in mental or substance‑related crisis. Answer and log calls for service, provide clinical consultation and recommendations, and offer information and education. Conduct solo responses to secure or safe locations when needed. Interview clients to develop and implement treatment plans, including making referrals to appropriate agencies and levels of care. Collaborate with community partners (hospitals, law enforcement, schools) to provide the least‑restrictive interventions. Maintain Medi‑Cal billing documentation and electronic client charts. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, law enforcement, community groups, family members, and other treatment providers. Qualifications Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a closely related field (or Doctoral degree in clinical psychology) by first date of employment, plus one year of clinical behavioral health experience under qualified supervision. From first day of employment, registration with the State of California, Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, and successful completion of the licensing exam within six years. Unlicensed Psychologists must be waiver‑eligible and pass the licensing exam within five years. Must obtain and maintain professional licensure to advance to Licensed Crisis Specialist (Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Clinical Psychologist). Valid California driver’s license, meeting county automobile insurability requirements. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly desirable; a bilingual proficiency exam will be administered. Knowledge of psychiatric and psychosocial principles, assessment procedures, psychotropic pharmacology, Mandating self‑self, Mandating self‑self? (error?) – overall strong diagnostic and assessment skills, ability to work in high‑stress situations, and ability to physically restrain and seclude clients when necessary. Must‑Have (Mandatory) Legal and Professional Requirements: Must be legally entitled to work in the U.S. and possess a valid California driver’s license.
