Responsibilities Travel out of state up to 40%-50% for reunification efforts. Perform all work consistent with NYAP’s Mission, Values, and Philosophies. Coordinate transportation: organize and navigate travel destinations, physically escort children, and supervise youth during transit for scheduled and emergency appointments. Coordinate medical transport with the Charge Nurse. Coordinate clinical transport with clinical staff. Coordinate reunification transport with the team. Track and assign all doctor appointments via supervisors; attend weekly supervisor meetings. Maintain a daily roster of times, dates, destinations, transporters, and transport durations. Provide documentation of missed appointments or unusual events to the Management Team. Track and schedule all group outings weekly using the transportation outing schedule. Maintain current cell phone numbers of staff assigned to transport. Ensure daily cleanliness and upkeep of all campus vehicles, including inspecting for cleanliness, damage, proper equipment, and safe operation. Ensure vehicles are properly fueled and maintain security over vehicles and keys. Report vehicle needs and damage to maintenance and track all vehicle issues for repair. Maintain transport notebooks, inspecting logs for completion and accuracy. Provide safety training to all new hires every three weeks. Collect and track safety checklist sheets and provide weekly reports. Meet physical demands of prolonged walking, standing, and agility; may need to run, climb flights of stairs, and use physical interventions with youth when necessary. Lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally more than 100 pounds. Complete Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and CPR training. Schedule will vary depending on transport needs; flexibility is required. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Experience working with at‑risk youth. Bilingual English and Spanish fluency (both reading and speaking). Excellent time management and organizational skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Pass an agility and strength evaluation. Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, automotive insurance, and a good driving record. Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smartphones, tablets, printers, fax machines, and photocopiers; familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs. Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000 bodily liability / $300,000 total coverage. At least 21 years of age. Other Skills Excellent customer service and communication skills.
